This is our 2nd time at Bale Dutung, and we had the Lechon Menu this time around. I honestly enjoyed it more than the Anthony Bourdain one.

I liked most of the dishes from this menu, except for the salad (not fan of the texture of the fern). But if I were to choose my favorites, it would be the lechon flakes in tortilla, sisig and lechon sinigang (no particular order).

Like I said last year, I highly recommend Bale Dutung. It’s a culinary experience that will showcase why we should be proud of our -Filipino- cuisine.

Ensaladang Pakô
(Fiddle head fern salad)

Piniritong Lumpiang Ubod sa
Claude’9 Oriental Sauce
(Fried all vegetable spring roll with
lemon coriander Thai basil sauce)

Inasal na Manok at
Claude’9 Talangka Sushi
(BBQ chicken wings with lemon grass
marinade and sushi of crab fat)

Hito at balo-balo Sushi
(Sushi of cat fish and fermented prawns)

Balat ng Lechon at Liver Sauce
(Crispy roast pork skin)

Fried Lechon flakes na binalot sa tortilla at
Claude’9 Oriental Sauce

Sinigang na Lechon
(Pork meat in sour soup)

Inihaw na Tadyang na Lechon
at Ensaladang Talong
(Grilled pork ribs with eggplant salad)

Sisig ulo ng lechon
(Pig’s cheeks with onion and liver sauce)

(Dessert of yam, coconut, egg yolk in water buffalo milk)
