Date-Night Chronicles: Cyma

Cyma is not a new date place for JodiesDaddy and I. However, we hadn’t been there recently. And when we were thinking of a Date-Night restaurant, we decided to re-visit one of our favorites.

Insteaf of having our usual orders, JodiesDaddy and I opted to order dishes we haven’t had before. We decided on “something old” and “something new” from the menu.

Something Old: Roka Salata
“Fresh arugula (ROKA), chopped romaine lettuce, sun-dried tomatoes, candied walnuts, with shaved parmesan in Traditional Greek Vinaigrette”

For this visit to Cyma, JodiesDaddy and I had this Cyma classi, instead of our favorite Watermelon Salad. I know, I know, the Roka Salata had been in the Cyma menu since the beginning :). But I somehow always ignored it, despite hearing so many raves about this Greek salad. I loved it! First time I actually enjoyed arugula (JodiesDaddy didn’t like the arugula haha). And the dressing and candied walnuts went really well together.

Something New: Chicken & Seafood Yiouvetsi
“The Greek paella valenciana with orzo (rice-shaped pasta) parsley and EVOO”

I saw this being served at a table on our way to our table. Since I was craving paella that night, it was THE perfect substitute! JodiesDaddy and I went crazy over this dish, wiping out the entire thing! It did taste like a Paella Valenciana, only difference was the texture of the orzo (which seemed denser than a normal rice grain).

As always, JodiesDaddy and I left Cyma with satisfied and full stomachs. What’s your favorite Cyma dish?
