A taste of Yugoslavian food

I haven’t been to Balkan (dubbed the home for Yugoslavian cooking) in ages and have been wanting to go back. So, when my officemates suggested we eat there for lunch last week, I instantly agreed.
I had the Stuffed Pljeskavica. It’s ground beef stuffed with mozzarella and you have the option to make it spicy or not. It’s served with either fries or rice. It reminded me of a burger. A tasty one.

Also shown here is the Chicken Kebab which my officemate had. What set it apart from the usual kebab was that the grilled chicken was wrapped in BACON! Imagine that?!? Well, my friend said it was really good.

So if you want to try a different kind European cuisine, why not check out Balkan. It’s European food that had a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern flair (at least that’s what I thought) and it’s pretty good!
