What’s For Lunch? Manam Part 2

I couldn’t resist.  I went to Manam again today.  Yes, I was THAT happy with my meal yesterday, and I couldn’t really wait for a “next time” any longer.  So, I dragged Jodie with me and even planned ahead of time what we were going to have:  House Crispy Sisig, the Caramelized Patis Wings and of course, the Sinigang na Beef Short Ribs and Watermelon (which was my only repeat entry from my previous visit).

The House Crispy Sisig came highly recommended by my friends and by the other reviews I read.  It did NOT fail.  Jodie and I loved it that we wiped out a medium order (good for 3).  Judging also by the number of tables that had empty sizzling plates, we weren’t the only ones who thought so.  This was clearly one of their bestsellers.  The House Crispy Sisig was crispy but not tough and was not just all chicharon.  I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes their sisig crunchy.

House Crispy Sisig – crispy sisig at it’s finest 😉

The Caramelized Patis Wings on the other had was just average.  It was good but not something that I would order again.  Maybe I was just looking for that patis (fish sauce) flavor which I did not get.  Or maybe there just wasn’t enough sauce.

Overall, I loved Manam and will definitely be back again (and again and again).
